Zebra Bars

Where I went to high school, we had a day care and restaurant on campus. Our restaurant made these delicious bars that were black and white, consisted of brownie and cheesecake, and were to-die-for. They were called Zebra Bars!

While I'm sure the restaurant students did not use a no-bake way of making the cheesecake, I did! While this is a recipe, it's really not a 'real' recipe. Just steps on how I made them.
This is what you need (plus the ingredients for each mix)

Step 1: Make brownie mix according to box instructions in a long pan.

Step 2: Let the brownies cool until completely room temperature. (Putting them in the refrigerator for an hour helps this process along.)

Step 3: Make no-bake cheesecake according to box instructions.

Step 4: Lather the cheesecake delicious-batter on top of the brownies. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top of the cheesecake.

Step 5: Refrigerate according to the box instructions.

Step 6: ENJOY!

A pin from another pinner!

Hello all!

We have our first 'pin from another pinner!'

She made this:
'Before' birds

After

And got inspiration from this:

Isn't it beautiful?!

She said she used the book "The Host" by Meyer (which she said wasn't very good) and was glad it was useful for something!

Thanks Michelle B!

Turkey and Pumpkin Giveaway

I follow another blogger, Here We Go Again, and she is having a giveaway of two precious fall-themed hair clips.

One is a turkey and the other is a pumpkin. Click here to see them and to enter the contest!

I told her I would advertise her giveaway, so let her know who sent you!

Thanksgiving craft

As I was just strolling through and making up time for not pinning, I pinned a ton of stuff!

And came across a very cute, toddler-friendly and fun craft to do with the girls.
Trace your child's hands a couple of times, cut the traces out perfectly (as shown in the picture) and then create a fan for a turkey!

Do you have any cute ideas for Thanksgiving crafts?

Bows, bows and more bows!

Anyone else with girls have the issue of finding a 'good' hair tie or pretty bow, like me?

Well, I pinned this..

...and I am making it this weekend's project, besides finding fall foliage to wrap around our staircase this weekend.

Any fun projects you are working on?

Fave of the week #2

Our "Fave of the Week" this week is Michelle's Halloween wreath that was inspired by this:
